The Busch and Müller LUMOTEC IQ Cyo was the model which launched the IQ technology in 2007 and since then the range has expanded to 10 variants. The IQ Cyo is a tried and tested design with a large easy to operate switch on the back. The ‘PREMIUM’ models feature updated optics offering IQ2 type beam patterns.
For the non-‘PREMIUM’ models there is a distinct difference between those with a reflector (denoted ‘R’) and those without. The reflective area, around the edge of the front of the light, on ‘R’ models restricts the width of the beam. The light which cannot be emitted wide is instead directed close to the front of the bicycle, giving the ‘R’ version a narrower, but nearer and longer, beam compared to the standard models.
The daylight running ‘T’ versions of the Cyo include a dedicated row of forward pointing LEDs beneath the main light which operate in daylight.
